Yes. Choir members are welcome to submit arrangements or original works for consideration. Pieces need to be musically suitable for the ensemble and fit within the term’s planned learning load.

SongShed may offer:
musical assessment of the score
clarity and accuracy edits
draft printing for workshop rehearsals
15–20 minutes of rehearsal time per session to refine the piece
optional practice recordings (either by SongShed or the arranger)
assistance with uploading to ArrangeMe
purchasing and printing the required licensed copies
promotion on the SongShed website
video documentation of performances when appropriate
This support is designed to help emerging creators develop their skills while keeping the choir’s workload balanced.

You’ll need to:
create the score in a notation program
ensure the work is legally eligible for arranging and distribution
respond to feedback and make revisions
provide final files suitable for printing and uploading

No. SongShed supports your creative development but does not act as a publisher, agent, or manager.

No. Arrangers and composers continue to pay standard term fees. Creative contributions are voluntary and separate from choir participation, and maintaining consistent fees ensures fairness and sustainability for the whole ensemble.
